Philosophy behind comics

You know, some people think reading comics is a big waste of time and intellect, but actually, there are subtle philosophical meanings behind certain comic strips, and some comics are really more for people with a higher level of intellect. I came across this particular Calvin and Hobbes strip, and Calvin and Hobbes is really one excellent comic to read. Too bad I never managed to find the strip for it so it's just gonna be verbalised:

Calvin: You know Hobbes, sometimes I can never understand how life works.
Hobbes: And why's that?
Calvin: Look at this cow (gestures to cow). Whatever made the first man who looked at it think "I'm gonna drink the stuff that comes out when I squeeze those things"?

Makes you think don't it?
