Candy Empire rocks

Funny thing about me: I like sweets and candies that don't look like they come from Singapore. So when I discovered Candy Empire at Millenia Walk sometime in October, it has become my favorite "sweet stuff" haven. What Candy Empire has are chocolates, sweets, candies, cookies, nuts (the food, not the humans), biscuits, and what have you all crammed into this huge shop. What I like about this place is that almost everything is imported from somewhere else. For instance, the chocolates come from places like Austria, Europe, America, etc. so whenever I step into the shop, I'll be 'transported' to some other country. It really is a different experience from shopping at the Cold Storage, which partly explains why I've stopped buying chocolates from there. I also like the funky packaging, which symbolises designs inherent in other countries, and which Singapore is lacking in pathetically. Not to put down my own country or anything, but someone really has got to come up with fresh designs for food packaging. However, the prices there are really exorbitant. But hey, people pay for quality, and the stuff there are brilliant. People whom I've brought there, all step in with the same expression of wonder, and their eyes literally light up and their mouths fall open. That's how Willy Wonka-ish this place is.
