My taste in music fluctuates like the stock market. I've gone from pop (Spice Girls, Backstreet Boys, etc.), to rock (Papa Roach, P.O.D.,etc.), to alternative rock (Lifehouse, Switchfoot, Matchbox 20, etc.), to opera-ish (Sarah Brightman, Andre Bocelli, etc.), to Canto-pop/Mandarin (Grasshoppers, Jay Chou, Eason Chan, etc.), to country/bluegrass (Johnny Cash, Yonder Mountain String Band, etc.). Currently, the bluegrass wins. It's partly due to my research for my school project. In experimenting with a wide variety of genres through the course of my research, the bluegrass genre appealed in a country-banjo kind of way. Perhaps I'm an old soul at heart.
London beckons a second time. Due to circumstances beyond my control, I couldn't go up last year. This time things seem a little more certain. If all remains unchanged, I should be up there for about two weeks come June. Sounds exciting, but I'm not as excited as i would have liked to be. Perhaps it's the increasing amount of schoolwork piled up to my nose and which I'd much rather forget about, that is seeping all excitement away.
