Of sunburnt shoulders and chapped lips

After 7 months of hiatus, I have donned my swimsuit and stepped into a swimming pool once more, and the feeling was one of coming home after a long long trip. You know you really miss something when you find yourself consciously speaking to it in your heart, under your breath, etc. This morning I woke up and decided to go for a swim after such a long period of inactivity on my part, and when I stepped through the gates of the swimming complex, I found myself (saying in my heart) "Hi pool, I'm back". AND it was a well-spent 2 hours of swimming and tanning. I've really missed just soaking up the sun and swimming laps. Sunburn aside, this is gonna be the start of a beautiful relationship.
