I realized I haven't wished people out there, so I'd do it now before another elapses:
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! Or as I like to say it nowadays...
HOU'OLI MAKAHIKI HOU!!!
2006 is off to a kick-butt start. I have a 'new' room, and the first day of school was great fun. Notice the apostrophes around the word "new". Basically I was sick of how my room looked, and how crammed it was (I only had 3 small strips of floors to walk on), so I carried my whole bed and turned it around and stuff, and now I have alot of space!!! Downside: the cupboards cannot be opened. So I packed all my drawers, cupboards, put the unwanted-never-going-to-be-used-again-but-too-precious-to-throw-away stuff in there. Trooped down to Ikea subsequently to get a new mirror (Nigel: "it looks very Chronicles of Narnia"), a rug, some nick-nacks here and there to give my room a more 'country' feel (although I can't do much because the yellows and blues in my room are too vibrant and bright, in other words, too cheerleader-ish). I even wound up the bronze-antique-looking clock which only works if placed upside down. Anyway, I think Ikea is my second most favorite place in Singapore, apart from Candy Empire, obviously.
First day of school was not at all like I'd expected (except the waking up early part). What I'd expected was the immediate handing out of assignments and projects, and the lecturers' anxiety for all of us to jump back onto the bandwagon of crazy school projects. What I didn't expect was James coming in and asked us to clean up the studios instead. So all I did yesterday was clean and pack up the studio, and since my table and working area was already quite neat and tidy (I'd already kept away all my models and stuff), I didn't have much to do. School ended at 215 after a short briefing, then off to my 2nd most favorite place in Singapore to shop for more things to 'enhance' my room.
I'm getting this penchant for cleaning and packing things up. First thought that came to mind when I woke up was to go to school early and sort out the stuff behind my table, but the thought of sitting under the desk and the possibilities of encountering spiders and spiderwebs totally turned me off.
