*calm*

I'm a sucker for quiet and beautiful days. I opened my windows this afternoon and felt this sudden calm wash over me as I stared out at the blue skies with its warm sunshine, listened to the birds chirping, which was punctuated by the occasional sound of traffic on the road outside. It can't get any better than this. It's days like these that make you feel like nothing else matters, and it's just you and God. Like you're at peace with the world. It's also days like these that helps to soothe all inner turmoil, and the world seems to slow down a notch as one fully appreciates the beauty of the day ahead. I'm grateful for times like these whereby I can climb into my little hidey-hole (metaphorically speaking) and take time off from the hustle and bustle of daily life. When everything just involves rushing from one thing to another, it's hard to find that moment of peace and quiet, and just get away from all the craziness, even if it's just for a little while. Anyway, so there I was gazing out the windows, and I was only snapped out of my reverie by the neighbour upstairs who was holding a relatively loud conversation over the phone. Oh well...all good things have to come to an end somehow *knocked back to reality*.
