You know what's annoying? Here, let me paint a scenario:
Passing up the chance to go for church camp so that I can take part in the Inter-Con Swim Meet, and then receive news at the last minute that I can't swim due to some admin problems so I sign up for church camp (also at the very last minute) and then the day before I leave for church camp, I get an sms saying that I have to be down at the pool for the competition.
Yeah, Andy sent me an sms just now and so I called him back to clarify that I'm not swimming because I've already signed up for church camp. And he said I can swim and then I tell him that I can't compete anymore and he was like "Can you not go to Malaysia?" What is this?! First he tells me that I can't swim, so I make plans to go to Malaysia and THEN he tells me I can swim already. Isn't it all too last minute? Even if I didn't go for the church camp, I haven't exactly been training for the competition because "Helloooo?" he told me I wasn't swimming anymore. How can he ask me not to go to Malaysia at the very last second?? It's not like I'm on-call 24 hours a day waiting for people to utilise my services. Don't go around making me feel bad because you put me down for the relay but I can't even be there.
I hate screwy administration. What do these people get paid for? Can't they at least make some effort to do their jobs properly? It's not as if it's asking the world of them.
Ok, frustrations over. Went for some French circus thingy on Sunday. Thanks Elaine for the free ticket. It was certainly something different. In Lorraine's words, it was 'magical'. Haha. Pretty cool really. The entrance was some air balloony thing so Bernice nearly did a Marilyn Monroe with her 'flippy' skirt. The chairs were like deck chairs. So the audience lie on them and look up towards the ceiling while the acrobats performed ultra cool stunts while flying through the air. Wicked! But they kindda reminded me of orcs the way they were crawling all over the scaffolding.
Caught Madagascar with Steph yesterday. Wasn't that great a storyline, but stupidity overruled the flimsy storyline so it was pretty funny. Bumped into Su-Lynn at the train station. Turns out that she and her brother were in the same theatre as I was. Met up with the peeps from CJ. Sherry, Elaine, and YY. Had a great time catching up with them plus we ate yummy food. *grins*
Church Camping tomorrow. Xueyan bunking over tonight. Haven't packed yet. Getting excited. Hope this year's camp will be fun. Whee! Ok, Nigel is bugging me for the modem. Time to go pack.
