Just came home from Cloven's birthday thingy. My conclusion: KTV sessions are totally "ah-pek" (or erm...Uncle seems the closest explanation for the term). Anyway, the non-KTV people: Elaine, Choon Liang, Alvin, and myself, met up later before joining the singing bunch over at Cuppage. I don't understand how the rest could sit and sing for 4 hours. 1 hour inside and I want to scream. I'm just not cut out for KTV-ing. Seriously. The songs are like either from my dad's era, or some Chinese "ah-beng" songs. I was sitting there trying to save whatever was left of my sanity. Don't even get me started on the cheesy accompanying videos. Oh man!! The videos were plain lame. They either showed a sarong clad-swimsuit girl cavorting around a signboard or walking along the pier in a golden sunset while admiring the seagulls or something equally lame. In the words of Meiyue, we can officially join the "too cool for KTV" club. Seriously. Maybe I'm just not cut out for KTV sessions. Never again.
But it was great seeing the CJ people again. It has been one year or so since I last saw them. The moments when someone was not screaming or yelling into the microphone, I actually managed to have fun. So yeah, Happy Birthday Cloven and it was great seeing you guys once more.
Watching Final Fantasy III on the tube. Amazing how real the animation looks. Man! Mom, Dad, and I were debating whether one of the characters was real or animated. It was THAT good. Ok, apart from the too neat hairdo (hair is like one sheet, never flying all over the place in strands), the characters actually look really real. I think the only animation I'm capable of are weird looking cartoons. It's not even the Tomato Twins (a really badly animated cartoon made obviously in Singapore) standard. Maybe one day as a sideline job or pastime, I shall do my own cartoon series. I should stop dreaming.
Elaine pierced her ears. Finally. Proud of you girl! You've gotten over your fear!! Soon you'll be able to rise to the ranks of multiple earhole piercings!!!
Well, time I go shower. I know people using the older versions of Windows are unable to view the funky font (papyrus) that I used for my entries thus forcing them to read my entries in totally ugly fonts. I can't do anything about it, although it's a waste 'cos the papyrus font really compliments the LOTR blogskin. Nevermind. I shall search for a nice but common font to display my entries in.
