Today's when we start lessons according to the scheduled timetable, and what a long day [even though my day started at 12pm so, all things considered, it isn't really that bad]. Today's also the day where the lecturers start handing out project briefs, schedules, and basically delving into the assignment requirements for the rest of the year. In short, it was alot of information. Oz said "Our brains are only 512mb, but they are running on 4gb memory. It's information overload!" or something to that extent. In some weird sick way, I was looking forward to writing my essays or Literature Review, however they term it, rather than the main project itself. I'm more of an academic rather than a designer, and for the umpteenth time since stepping into Lasalle, I wonder what I'm doing in a design school. With regards to our written assignments, our lecturer mentioned that we could find a "plethora of information out there". I was amazed Mr. "Ling Ling Long Long" actually had such a big word in his vocabulary when half the time last semester was spent complaining about his overuse of Singlish and the occasional smattering of Hokkien, but I shall not be mean.
