The Simpsons Movie is a show that probably wouldn't give you your money's worth, but for $7.10 on a Thursday evening, despite the show being about 105 minutes long, I did enjoy myself laughing at Homer's wacky shenanigans. You know there are days where all we need is a good laugh, and then because we crave that laughter, we tend to crack up at every single thing [or maybe it's just me]? That was what took place in a darkened theatre at Lido. Truly funny scenes in the movie were few and far between, but I guess the audience was so in tuned with the crazy schemes of everyone's beloved Springfield family that no matter how lame and dry the humor was, it didn't take much to get us rolling around in those tiny seats with laughter. Plus, there was this person behind me who kept laughing like this: "hur hur hur..hur hur..", and the incessant giggling of the girl beside me that helped too, not to mention Meiyue's contagious laughter, and the quaking shoulders of the 4 men in front of me. I would have to say that it was a great evening spent for a mere $7.10.
