A Spice Little Earner The Spice Girls are staging their hotly-anticipated first UK reunion concert at The O2 in London, it was revealed today. The band announced their comeback at the 23,000-capacity Greenwich venue today and confirmed they will kick off there in December. The all-girl band – Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham, Melanie Brown, Geri Halliwell and Melanie Chisholm – are promising fans “a night to remember”. The group’s money-spinning world tour will start the same month in America, where they still have a large fanbase. Aides also said they would be making a definitive Spice Girls documentary, as well as a Christmas greatest hits album. A spokesman said: “They have never had a greatest hits album and they feel now is the right time. “Their first gig will be in America. They are the only British band, apart from The Beatles, that has worked a big stadium tour in the US.” The group is due to start recording new material once Bunton has had her baby, due next month. A source said her pregnancy is why the band will not be performing at the Concert For Diana on Sunday at Wembley Stadium. But he confirmed: “The girls are really delighted to be playing The 02. They think it’s a fabulous venue and promise a night to remember.” Being ONCE a fan of the Spice Girls, it is exciting in a way to see them perform together after so long. Even though their music ain't exactly top notch, but I was a fan [heh]. As one can see, I went to all the trouble to 'hack' into London Paper's website just so I could rip off that video from there. I'm such a groupie.
