Old Buddy

I saw Daryl yesterday [after 2 and a half years]. In an ideal world, we would run towards each other with open arms through a meadow of tulips and sunflowers, with butterflies fluttering about our heads and birdsong in the air. In reality, the scene played out to be slightly less dramatic. It was more of a 'shocked-look-then-exchange-a-few-sentences' kind of scenario. AND we weren't anywhere near trees or grass or anything that remotely resembled a meadow. We were at the train station. On hindsight, it would look pretty funny to a bystander. We both saw each other at the exact same moment and our expressions were exact replications on each other's faces - dropped jaws and wide eyes. Anyway, it was nice seeing a good friend again. Take care ol' buddy, and hope to catch up with you some day.
