Phantom of the Opera is N-I-C-E!!!! Ultra nice!! Half of me is still stuck in the cabaret opera days of eons ago (the other half is in Middle Earth with the Lord of the Rings). The show officially opens in cinemas on the 23rd of December, but I watched it 5 days before it opened and for free!! I feel so privileged. One of the privileged few. Hahaha. But seriously, initially the show didn't have much of an impact on me, but like one day later, which is today, I realised the show is really good. Laggy response. The show is so NICE!!! Abit dramatic though, with all the loud organ music at practically every interval, but it's a good show nonetheless. The so-called red-carpet premiere was abit disappointing though. Adel was like "I thought it was supposed to be red-carpet? Where's the red carpet?? So disappointing!!" and I was like "Yah!! I thought there were gonna be camera flashes everywhere and celebrities in gowns". But still, I can't complain. It was free. So who cares? Show was good and it was free. Hee. But the highlight of the evening was definitely this pre-show 'teaser' thingy whereby this woman was dressed as Christine (the name of the main female character in the show), and she was supposedly singing and waving her dainty little sparkly mask around, and THEN the music got cut off halfway and her mouth was like still open. Hilarious. She hurriedly tried to finish her little performance gracefully by using the mask to cover her face and giving a little bow. Hahaha. The polo girls were like cracked up over it man. Then in the cinema, before the show started, this fake Christine and the fake Phantom sang the main song together, and when the song ended, 'Christine' bowed and like 3 seconds later the recorded applause came on. So she had to stay bent over in her bow for 3 seconds before getting up. Heh.
Danced at Good Shepherd today. Think the dancers did a great job. Great job guys!!! WE IMPROVED ALOT!!! One last round at Orchard on Tuesday and then everything's over. Kindda sad though. I'm gonna miss dance practices and dancing.
Went for dinner with the COA people. Quite a big group of us. Sat in KFC and it felt like one big happy Ascension family. So cosy. Haha.
Went over to the pool for awhile while the rest of them waited for seats in KFC. Told Uncle David and Auntie Shem that I can't attend the next few trainings due to dance and carolling. I think Uncle David was abit touched that I went all the way down to tell them personally. Well, no more trainings till next week. Gonna grow fat and die.
Decided not to go for the competition today. Didn't have enough confidence. Wait till I've trained more.
Phantom of the Opera songs are in my head. Man! I'm so gonna watch the show again!!!!
