Weekly anecdotes of my otherwise boring life
My bass guitar took a nose-dive to the gravel road today. It was slung, as usual, across my shoulder when the strap of the base case snapped. I thought it wouldn't be too much of an issue since the bass was protected by the soft casing. NOTE: SOFT. After service as I was packing my bass back into it's case, I noticed a chip at the top where it kissed the ground. A blemish on the otherwise polished red wood surface. I felt so devastated..for about two minutes. I guess it's inevitable that no matter how much we try to protect out belongings, things like that happen. Recently my mp3 kissed the parquet flooring in my room as well. Even though I've tried hard to keep it from harm, it finally heeded gravity's pull, and after one and a half year's of usage, traveled that inevitable road down south.
Not three days ago, I was walking towards the bustop (pardon the abrupt change in topic) when something funny I thought about, reached inexorably towards my brain to tickle its fringes. I tried to conceal that smile slowly lifting the corners of my lips as it was broad daylight and there were people walking towards me, and I know I must look relatively mental smiling to myself. I hate when something like that happens when...no, especially, when you're alone. I should have whipped out my phone at that moment so I could pretend to smile at something on the screen so I would look slightly less nutty.
The poetry people have been sending me numerous emails about their upcoming poetry compilation. It's not that I didn't get it the first time, I just didn't have any inspiration to write. To date, I've probably received 5 similar emails from them. I'm all "Alright! Geez! Enough already. Stop stressing me out!" I do want to contribute to the new book, but I really cannot think up a good poem other than 'Roses are red, violets are blue...' Gotta get me some inspiration soon.
