Panda Queen

CNY is over. That was quick. Had a great time even though my program for every Chinese New Year is to go over to Ee Poh's house for a Lotto/Bingo marathon. But since I don't get to see my relatives often, CNY is one time where I get to spend time with them. We all Lotto'ed from morning till night, stopping only for either lunch or dinner. 2 straight days of Lotto and non-stop Lobangs. Haha. Family joke. Anyway, I think I was born into a family of crappers. I mean, every single game would see either one of us or one of the aunties saying something totally lame and everyone will just laugh like it's the funniest thing on earth. Yeah, my aunt nearly merlion-ed (for the benefit of those who have no idea what merlion is: someone laughing while drinking and then choking followed by the process of spitting everything out. Also a Singapore icon.). She then had to stick her head into the plastic bag aka rubbish bin to spit the water out. Thing was, I didn't know what was so funny. But it was hilarious at her expense.

Ee Ee Chu brought home her Aussie erm...companion. Boyfriend just sounds so wrong at their age. Anyway, he joined in our Lotto games as well and we had a few laughs at his expense. The way he pronounced Lobang was so..so...classy. He says it as Low-Bang, while the rest of us uncouth people either says Lo-Bunk or just plain Bunk.

Laughed with Alison, Melissa, and Daniel at Mulan. Haha. We were having a jolly good time pin-pointing all the loopholes in the cartoon. Eg:
A scene where Mulan was injured on the mountains:

General: We need to get help!

Alison: Help? Where? In the middle of the mountains?!
The rest of us: Hahahahaha.

Yeah, that's our sort of humor. Little wonder where my sense of humor came from eh? It's all in the genes.

Happiness aside, today's the start of my midnight oil week. I hate submission week. Everything is due and for me, nothing is done yet. So I have to spend many sleepless nights trying to finish up all my work so I can hand it in on time. Man! I can't wait for this week to be over. And for some bizarre reason, the blog website is all displayed in Mandarin. Strange. Oh well! Time to get back to work! Bye!
