Yummy!
I reckon watching too much of Jamie Oliver is not healthy. It makes people want to cook while pretending to be hosting a cooking program. Ok, maybe not the last part. But it sure made me feel like cooking up all sorts of scrummy looking meals, although scrummy may not exactly describe what I would churn out in the end. So this afternoon found me in the kitchen baking up a storm..well..monsoon more like, and I found myself baking 3 different things simultaneously. It wasn't as daunting as I thought, so 3 hours in the kitchen resulted in Vanilla Fudge, Italian Biscuit Fridge Cake, and Triple Chocolate Cheesecake. Although the Vanilla Fudge didn't turn out exactly as I had planned [I left it on the stove a tad too long while I was busy preparing the cheesecake], it's still edible though. Now I know how people make butterscotch toffee or candies. Just leave the sugar and cream mixture on the stove longer than required while making fudge. So my Vanilla Fudge have become butterscotch toffee. Nothing too drastic. The other 2 cakes are fine as far as I know. Actually, there was a legitimate reason for baking all these. School's starting soon, and I have all these ingredients left over and I know with my hellish school schedule, I may not have time to bake, and what is still valid now may expire over the next 3 and a half months, so I took the chance [while I still had time] to finish them up today. So it wasn't that much of a Jamie Oliver influence [well...yeah, it was] that got me baking.
