Triple Chocolate Cheesecake!!!

School's out and fun's in!!! Wheee *doing the Chicken Little dance..mai-a-hi..mai-a-ha.."!! Now all I have to do is worry like heck over my results and whether I'll make it to next semester. But...school's out and fun's in!!! I have a feeling I'll be repeating this little 'jig' a few more times before the end of this entry...or not.

As always, alot of free time means alot of baking, computer game, reading, sleeping, television, friendship bands, writing, etc. And then the holidays will soon fly past and when July comes, I'll be blinking like a prat and wondering where all the time has gone to. But this isn't a cup-is-half-empty-rather-than-half-full time so I'm just going to have the time of my life first before worrying about other more mediocre things.

It has been 6 days since the General Elections concluded, and yet people refuse to let the James Gomez issue rest, to the extent that they detained him at the airport, thus preventing him from flying back to Sweden where he's working. I mean, come on, this is stale news. Move on. I don't get why the PAP can be so anal at times. Really, they've just won the Elections, they should just let the whole issue rest. People just aren't interested in their little Nancy Drew stint anymore. I'm already irked enough with them dangling $100 million carrots all over the place in the hope that people would vote for them rather than for the opposition. Or the fact that they blatantly stated that unless the people in Hougang voted for the PAP, they would not get their lift upgrading. Whatever happened to the whole "We the citizens of Singapore......to build a democratic society, based on justice and EQUALITY...". However, the pledge in this case seems only ideal theoretically, and reality is a far cry from it when opposition wards do not enjoy the benefits that wards supporting the PAP do. Anyway, I've told myself to wash my hands off this whole issue. Reading anymore about it just infuriates me further, and I've decided that it won't do any good for the black hairs on my head, and maybe in the future I can whisk myself off to some country where the government operates on a much fairer scale (which is hard to find in this world, so I shall go live on the moon with Meiyue).

Political issues aside, I had a rather enjoyable time today making my Triple Chocolate Cheesecake. It sure is no looker without the whipped cream and chocolate disc toppings, but it sure is edible. As far as cheesecakes go, my cheesecakes have not failed me yet. My brownies, cakes, fudges, cookies, shortbread, meringue, and apple pies have let me down once or twice, but my cheesecakes remain strong and faithful. I should just make cheesecakes from now on. At least Mom and Dad are willing to try it and surprisingly Mom said the taste was there and it didn't look half bad. Surprising because she was close to flipping out when I started making my cheesecake this afternoon. I was like "Mom! Have a little bit more faith in my abilities! I'm not 12!". Ok, I didn't say that, but I was thinking it. One day if I don't succeed in this world as an interior designer or poet or writer, I shall open a small confectionary/tea shop in Scotland (where I'm hoping to move to) selling cheesecakes and call it erm..something fancy.
