The Poets' Society

The entry prior to this one was kindda MTV-ish, but when I was showering after completing the first poem (the previous entry), God kindda spoke to me through random sentences, which He soon guided me to write out in the form of a poem, which I hope will touch others just as it had touched me.

POSTCARD FROM HEAVEN

Dear child,

I know you're hurting inside
So open up your heart and let Me reside
I'm still waiting for you to say one day
"Lord, into my heart I want You to stay"

The tears that you cried, are precious to Me
The hurts that you felt, I've taken off thee
Place all your burdens upon My shoulders, dear child
So that I can see you walk free and smile

I want to hold your hand and walk beside you everyday
I want to be your guide and guide you in every single way
I want to carry you through times of trial
Just lean on Me and I'll be your tower

I want to take away your pain
So that happiness and joy you'll gain
If you'll only let Me, I'll dry your tears
And be the one to dispel all your fears

Today I waited to talk to you
But you woke up and rushed the whole day through
So I patiently waited for you, but in vain
It's alright My child, tomorrow I'll try again

At night I watched over you as you slumber
I made the stars and moon shine upon you every hour
Again I waited for you to say "Hi"
But I guess you were too tired, so tomorrow again, I'll try

I will keep on waiting for you
Until the day you finally let Me through
Even if it takes forever and a day
My dear child, I will continue to wait

But for now I just want you to know
That I will never leave you out in the cold
Just for once, let your heart be still
Because I want to tell you, I love you

Love,
God
